Hot Yoga: Y-Day II

My weekend was deeply stressing and distressing; I have images of petty people yelling at me stuck in my head. And I’m not allowed ice-cream to cope with the emotional and psychic strain.

What to do?

I poured myself into hot yoga, and yesterday I managed four classes; noon, with a major return at 4:45, staying on for 6:00, and then again for 7:15. I could have stayed thru the 8:30 class as well, but I really wanted to prepare for bedtime eventually and figured another class would keep me up far too late.

That’s four hours!, not including River Pose(s). I was surprised at how quickly the 6:00 class flew by.

I experienced powerful charges of anger and frustration in the earlier classes, and at least once, I came close to weeping in sadness. Yet afterwards, there can be no doubt : I did feel pacified and calmer. Of course, it took a lot of effort to achieve that tranquility… but I made it!

I took a few cans of sugar-free coconut water along with me. They’re massive, and only 88 cents this week at FreshCo. They were really nice to have.
